Interesting story of a serial killer and his law enforcement mother who helped cover his crimes. A lot of twists to this story. The Lifetime movie, The Bad Son (2007), was loosely based on this story. The original case is much more fascinating.

Women fell hard for sandy-haired Eric Napoletano - and some of them never got up. First his fifteen-year-old girlfriend was found in Pennsylvania with her throat slashed. Then his mother-in-law was shot dead on a Bronx street corner. And finally his second wife, missing from their New Jersey home, was discovered crudely buried in Delaware. The police and FBE knew who the sadistic killer was, but they were up against a bizarre and twisted case of motherly love.

"Unsettling...a mother uses blackmail, bullying and the Ponzi scheme to keep cops from catching her murdering son." -- N.Y. Post
