per the front jacket, it's "a book about the loneliness of th individual who refuses to be catalogued, schsematized, categorized by fashions, ideaogies, societies, power....", so I'm not sure whether he or anyone else wants me to say the is is about a Greek resistance fighter from the 1940s and 1950s who falls in love with a woman.
