"Suppose all of Earth - all of the universe - were the creation of an alien world's fertile imagination. Suppose the human race had the power to destroy that world without knowing that to do so would erase Earth's existance. Now suppose that the fate of both races rest in the hands of a human and an alien - merged into one body"

Really quite funny, well-written of course, highly recommended!

This is an excellent book. If you read the description of idmagining above you'd think that would be the main focus. The initial reading I did on this book lead me to believe the alien/human hybrid would be a cooperative working to prevent the destruction of earth, however, they seem to constantly be at odds.

The book is fantastic. Again, with something as powerful as idmagining you'd expect the authors to focus on that ability, however, in true Herbert fashion, the focus on more important issues, penning a terrific tale in the process.
