Known today mostly for his thesis The Prince, Machiavelli also wrote several comedies. This one is short, but quite risqué: in some parts rather bluntsexually. Here is a classic plot: the most beautiful wife, the debaucher, the cuckold, and the corrupt clergyappropriate for the times. You can guess the rest as there is little doubt about the outcome.
