I have read just about every book written about Iraq and the war as I have a son who has been there twice. This one was a slow, hard read for me. More of a personal experience than an overall view of the war. I had read portions of it in other books also.

"This Man's Army" is the story of a young man's transformation into a twenty-first-century warrior and learning to deal with the readjustment to civilian life. Highly recommended reading.
