I loved this book, especially all the suggestions I got from it for novels having to do with Mars. Robinson's "Red Mars" has long been one of my favorites, so I was delighted to learn more about the geology and geography of places on Mars featured in the novel. There are some beautiful--though not large--maps of Mars, too, both modern and old, and many interesting facts from the history of Martian studies.
