I was considering requesting a couple of her books as they seem like the kind of books I enjoy reading, however, on amazon, she is listed as romance as well as mystery. When I read a mystery, I prefer the psycho serial killers (Ok, I know that makes me sound sick...lol), but was just wondering how much romance is in her books.

I'm a huge fan of Mariah Stewarts books. There is some romance in the book, but more like - woman being stalked by serial killer, hot cop comes to protect her, they find the killer together - they fall in love and decided to get married over the week or two it took to catch the bad guy.

Lori, how 'scary' would you say these are? I mean are they edge of your seat woman's about to get the axe like coulter's 'the maze'? that was my limit I think!

I didn't think they were scary at all.  Definitely read each series in order though. And each book has a character that has some sort of relationship to those in the other books. They usually make small appearances in the books that they aren't the main characters in.  Another author that is very similar that I love is Hunter Morgan. Very similar writing style - 3 books per "series".

Thanks everyone...I think I will request one and see how they are...it appears that I may like her.
