After her father's death, Hestia changes her name and becomes a companion, to cover the scandalous background of her father's piracy. Unbeknownst to her, Hestia's father had a will, which named Alexander, the Marquess of Falconbridge, as her guardian.
However, the Marquess is more interested in the companion (Belinda/Hestia) than his ward. I wish the story was longer to round out some of the issues.
