This is a true story of a respected psychologist who gets involved with a hooker and her pimp, and ends up dead. It was a VERY SENSATIONAL CASE in Michigan.

John Fry, the pimp, was sentenced to life in prison for the murder. He was housed at Huron Valley Men's facility which is where I worked as a business teacher. He was my student for about 5 months and eventually worked as our school clerk. Just like the book says, John Fry was a model prisoner -- he did his work, never questioned any order or direction, and was very efficient and pleasant. He was eventually transferred to Marquette in the Upper Peninsula when prison officials realized he was trying to contact Dawn Spens.

This is a very compelling book -- HARD to put down!
