Interesting historical novel. Short & to the point. Living in Texas for the last 25 years made this one intereting reading about so many famous Texas places.

I don't know of one Elmer Kelton book that I didn't really enjoy. I have a few "favorites," but there isn't any that I didn't like.

This one is about the Buckalew brothers - Josh & Thomas. The setting is the Battle of Goliad, which as students of Texas history know is after the Battle of the Alamo.

This is historic and is one of the best Kelton books I've read so far.
