A classic Harlequin romance published in 1973. The story takes place in New Zealand and follows the romance between a "hippie" hitchhiker and a serious-minded farmer. However, our heroine is not really the free-thinking hippie the hero takes her for, and misunderstanding ensue, followed by the eventually happy ending. I enjoyed this author's writing style and characterization for most of the novel-the story gets a bit too soap-opera-y uneven about three-quarters of the way through, but overall I enjoyed the book.
