What I enjoy about this book is what I enjoy about encyclopedias - sometimes you just get curious what something is, where it comes from, or how it is employed. There is technical information such as tensile strength and carbon loads, but the information is put together in a pleasing format. In fact, there is not a single table or figure in the book. All together, this is a nice book on a cursory glance at a material's basic information.
