Interesting story of an struggling alcoholic in Australia intertwined with a history lesson about Trim (the cat of explorer Matthew Flinders).

I like Bryce Courtenay's books. This one was okay. There was not much of a story about the cat, Trim more of a story of Billy a homeless, alcoholic man trying to save young Ryan from the pedophile rings operating in town. Still a good read though.
