I would have preferred Easter to do it. But I have to have an egg hunt and cook out with my kids and grandkids. But I spent the evening before  EASTER watching Religilous.LOL I felt pretty rebellious watching a mockumentary of religion during the A Religious Holiday.Maybe some will think it's lame but living in the bible belt I found it very rebellious and deeply satisfying.devil

For "the holidays" I cooked Esau's Pottage for my sweet old Swedish-American hubby.  It's made of lamb and red lentils and a lotta vegetables including one parsnip.  You eat it with pita bread.  It's about the oldest recipe extant . . . . you find it in Genesis Chapter 25: Verses 27 through 35.  Musta been pretty appetizing, for Esau to sell his birthright to his twin, Jacob, for a bowl of the stuff, dontcha know?  (Hubby likes it. . . .)
