I think the writing was good but I didn't enjoy the plot or characterizations. The protagonist was extremely naive. This story is present time and she didn't know a single person with a cell phone or know how to use one?
People just aren't that isolated, especially those that work in a court house.

Just could not finish it. Too folksy for me.

Loved this - finished it in one day. A nice departure from traditional chick lit. Very heartfelt.

Cochran writes such great characters! They are just like the people you know - offbeat, quirky, fallible...I could go on. It was a wonderful first novel and if you enjoyed it at all, read her 2nd, The Return of Jonah Gray.
I can't wait to see what else she comes up with!
