I'm finding that at least half the time PBS is printing "media" when first class is cheaper, or vice versa. So then I have to blank it out on the sheet, etc. Is there any way to stop it from automatically printing "first class" or "media?" |

If there is, I haven't found it yet. I just use my handy-dandy Sharpie and it's done in probably less time than it would take me to figure out how to do it on the computer. :)

The system is supposed to figure 1st class for anything under 6 oz and media for all those above that. There is no way to manually change which will print. If the 1st class/media is not following 6 oz, you should send feedback so the glitch can get fixed.

It is definitely not working if it is supposed to do that. I have had ALL my packages marked media mail, much to the annoyance of the postal worker that had to check change all the 5.8 ouncers. |

Michelle -- The ability to print First Class is brand new as of today. It's part of the printable postage feature. |

Melanie, what was the estimated weight when you printed the label? If you look now on the page where you print the label the program will estimate the weight of the book. Based on this weight will be the deciding factor on if it labels the book First Class or Media Mail. Diane |
