Another sweet book by Jenny Colgan. She is so easy to read when you just want a fun book. Issy is suddenly let go from her job and decides to follow her dream to open up her own cafe. He grandfather who raised her was a baker, and she has such fond memories, and with his help of writing down his recipes, she sets out to try to make her dream come true. I loved the other characters in this book, Pearl, a woman she met along the way, who becomes her assistant in the shop, and her trials and tribulations in taking care of her two year old son. Her roommate, who is her voice of reason, even when she doesn't want to hear it. The jerky boyfriend who she knows she shouldn't still be attracted to, but worries she will never find anyone else. They all play a big part in this story
