Ingredients
  • 1 - 5.9oz Instant Vanilla Pudding
  • 2 cups - Milk
  • 1 teaspoon - Vanilla
  • 2 - 8 oz cream cheese, softened
  • 1 14 oz can - Sweetend Condensed Milk
  • 1 8oz - CoolWhip
  • 1 Box - Vanilla Wafers or Pepperidge Farm Chessman cookies
  • 5 or 6 - Bananas
Directions

In a bowl, mix Vanilla Pudding, Milk and Vanilla.  In a separate bowl, mix together Cream Cheese, Sweetened Condensed Milk and CoolWhip.  Fold in pudding mixture to the Cream Cheese mixture.  In a bowl, start layering cookies, bananas, and pudding mix, ending with a layer of pudding on top.

Tip:  For a better flavor, cover and let pudding set in refrigerator overnight.

Notes

This recipe was shared with me by my Mother-in-Law (Mema), who has been making it for years.  It is always a big hit at Church Dinners and Family Reunions, and any large family gatherings.  I have also recently seen this recipe published in a recipe book by Paula Deen.  The photo above is this pudding  in a Trifle bowl that I made to take to a luncheon at work.
