Really good kids book about a boy who had to step up to a challenge. I really enjoyed this one. It isn't the best kids fantasy I've read, but it is definitely unique.

I only started to read this book because I was bored and had nothing else at the time. But as soon as I started, I was hooked. It's definitely something different, keeps you wondering.. and definitely not predictable.

Definitely fun to read.

I'm teen that is an avid reader. This is right up there with Harry Potter. That's WAY up there. I absolutely LOVED it! I'm on the last one now. Anyways, the first book is a great introduction to the series. Loor was very interesting in how she had flaws and wasn't perfect, unlike a lot of characters like her in other books. Courtney and Mark are a bit predictable, but they always do the unpredicted. They are great. Uncle Press is a great character in how he knows what to do and say most of the time. Everyone and everything is written in great detail, but it doesn't drone on. The action scenes are great. They're not confusing like many action books are. This is a great read. Great for everybody!

This is a great adventure book for tweens, age 12-14 range. The language in the story is straight forward and the narrative voice is easily believable as that of a teenage boy. The adventure is interesting and much like an Indiana Jones adventure that takes place on some other planet. I would recomend this books to young boys as it may keep them interested. As an adult that enjoys young adult/teen books I have found better reads that require a higher reading level and are perhaps more...poetic? But hey - for a target audience of boys 12-14 I'd say the writing style fits.

Most of the reviews have said "great for teens" "My kids loved it" or something similar but I would like to point out that they are great for ANY age. The whole series is great! They are exciting and suspensful in a very enjoyable way. So instead of saying great for kids or teens, I would say "Great for anyone of any age who wants to read good books that are not full of grown-up junk"

A NY times Bestselling Series - Bobby Pendragon is a seemingly normal 14-year old boy. But there is something very special about Bobby - he is going to save the world. And not just Earth as we know it. Bobby is swept off to an alternate dimension known as Denduron, a territory inhabited by strange beings, ruled by a magical tyrant, and plagued by a dangerous revolution. If Bobby wants to see his family again, he's going to have to accept his roles as savior, and accept it wholeheartedly. Because Denduron is only the beginning....

(I didn't read the book - it's almost word-for-word from the back cover.)
