Just thought I'd share for all you baseball(particularly Diamondbacks or Byrnesy fans).

He was at the Autism walk on Sunday.  My daughter and I were wandering around, looking at booths, before the walk began, and happened to see him standing(the hair is a dead giveaway, gotta love the hair), with no one around.  So, we walked up and told him how great it was to see him there and that my son(who wasn't there--he had church stuff), was a huge fan of his.  He was sweet as could be, said thank you, and to have a great walk.

No, I didn't ask for an autograph(didn't want to seem too rude), and I didn't have a camera with me, so I didn't pester him for a photo op either--just wanted to say hi--and you know, meet a real, live major league player.  We saw Orlando Hudson, too, but he was a little mobbed, so we left him alone.

How cool is that?  I certainly know who Eric Byrnes is, and I think it was great that you got to meet him, especially if your son is such a fan, you too?.  I have never met a real live baseball player before ~ I'd love to, no matter what team they were on.  ...Well, A-Rod & Jeter I'd have trouble actually being polite and even speaking to them, but I guess I would if they were right there!  After all, they are really good ball players!  :)   Good for you!!!

I love the way he plays:)  Jeff's a huge Diamondbacks fan(which is good, considering we live 15 minutes from the stadium and all, I guess).  I think he's trying to have the same hair(as well as slide into every base when he plays ball).  I'm really a Cards fan, but I'll go watch Byrnesy play anyday.

When Byrnesie was with the A's I always thought it was just a regular guy.  I'm glad to see he is as friendly in person.

I will always be mad at the A's for giving him up.  You can't replace hustle.

I was worried the Dbacks were going to give him up--I swear he makes the team more interesting to watch.  It's fun to see someone who just goes out there and plays like he really, really wants to be there(kind of like watching little league players with more skill).
