Mexician Bean Pie

  • 2 cans - Crushed Tomatoes
  • 1 Can - Mexician Tomatoes with peppers
  • 1 med - onion
  • 1 packet - taco seasoning mix
  • 1-1/2 lb - Hamburger
  • - corn bread mixture enough for a med size pone
  • 1 cup - chedder cheese
  • - salt and pepper to taste
  • 3 Cans - Pinto Beans or Kidney Beans(Drain but save juice)

Take half of corn bread mixture and pour into botton of pan 9x13 pan bake at 350 for about 10 minutes remove from oven ,Brown hamburger and add taco seasoning mix  pour on to corn bread mixture add the drained and washed kidney beans or pinto beans(I use fresh pinto beans and put as many I I think it needs), add tomatoes,sprinkle salt add pepper, Sprinkle cheese over the top then add remaining cornbread mixture bake at 350 for about 30 minutes or until corn bread appears to be done. Serve with bean juice over the top. It is better with the pinto beans because of the juice you will need when it is finished.

Do you use the 16 ounce or 28 ounce can of tomatoes? Sounds wonderful and I'd like to try it.
