I enjoyed reading this complicated book so much that I have decided to keep the book in my personal library. This story had so many characters and incidents that contributed to the result of death for this British girl. So many coverups and exposures that at the time were occurring everywhere in the world. It really opened my eyes and mind to the worldwide happenings.

Gives interesting information about an event in time. I was not very familiar with Japanese, British and Chinese relations prior to WWI. The book is halting in only average writing.
