Well. I guess I'll start by saying James Frey is a poor writer. If thats what you want to call it. He has no hold of the english language. He says the same things over and over again. Word for word and it gets annoying. Then his ego is huge. He thinks he is some tough guy. "I could have killed him." Egocentric stupidity. The books is twice as long as it should be. Why? CAUSE HE SAYS THE SAME THINGS OVER AND OVER AGAIN. Did I already say that? HA
The ending sucked. At first I liked its simplicity in writing. Short sentences. But it gets old. His tough guy no nonsense attitude gets old. He seems more like bragging about how tough he is. Which is bullshit. Also, he would have gotten thrown out of the treatment center real fast. The first night he says he fell over in a corner and just slept there, drooling on the hard floor all night. BULLSHIT.
Also almost the whole book is set in a treatment facility and that gets old too. Same conversations, and same situations page after painful page. Save your credits. There are other addiction books out there, with actual great writing.
