Full of history and romance this book is set in 1861 and will keep you captivated from one page to the next. If you are a real history buff then this is for you. The book is more or less about the history of one woman's life and the goings on in her family during the struggles and battles of war.

Here's the story of a daughter of John Brown who was a lookout for John Brown's men while they planned the attack on Harpers Ferry. This book provides well documented insights on the events of the raid, as well as the person of John Brown. This book is an excellent book for the historian who wants a view from the inside on what went on at this crucial point in history.
