Reading this book was like taking a vacation to the Italian coast! The story takes place in a small Italian town. The author weaves together the histories of several people there---a priest, his niece and her daughters, a fix-it man, and a prodigal son returned. It's beautifully written, fun to read, makes you laugh, makes you cry, and makes you want to find this town (or one like it) and live there!

While the beginning and middle of the book dragged a bit, it kept my attention. It was well worth the wait, as the ending wrapped it all together with twists and turns and a very sweet message!

While the middle of this book seemed to drag a bit, the descriptive ability of the author was awesome and really made you feel as though you were spending a summer in a small town in Italy. It was so easy to fall in love with the characters and I LOVED the ending. I cried.
