Fabulously narrated by Kellgren, this is the fifth in the wonderful Bloody Jack series -- a series featuring the plucky, clever, adventurous, irrepressible heroine, Jacky Faber. While not my favorite of the series, it was (as were the others) just incredibly entertaining. I really love these books/audios. In this installment, Jacky narrowly escapes being transported back to England to be hanged, cons a boat out of the notorious and legendary Mike Fink, and heads south to New Orleans, encountering bandits, gamblers, slave-traders, scoundrels, soldiers, and Indians along the way, all of whom contribute to her rollicking adventures. Unbeknownst to her, her beloved Jaimy is following behind. Will they or won't they reunite??? You'll have to read (or listen to) the book!
