Second part of a fabulous trilogy of a woman's life in 14th century Norway. The author received a much deserved Nobel Prize for this work.

This one continues Kristin's life as wife and mother ... as well as handling Erlend's home. It also continues the story of her parents and sister. It's always enjoyable to follow through with characters to discover what happens to them as time passes.
