I really like Allen's storytelling. Her plots are inventive. While this wasn't as good as some of her more recent ones, I still enjoyed it. The beginning especially, while the heroine is, tactfully, posing nude for an artist and the hero rescues her from ruin when some young bloods barge in, without ever seeing her face. It was both hot and emotional.

Biggest complaint is that this read like the author finished the book well before her pages were up, so she kept having to invent additional storystuff instead of simply wrapping up.
