Published in 1976. Stevenson was a respected writer, seminary professor, and preacher. I was sometimes tempted not to finish this book, but then in only a few more pages I was glad I had continued. Lots of notes will go into my own writing and speaking, and will guide personal devotional time. Don't let some of the 1970's approach, nor occasional flights into cloudy concepts, prevent your savoring his helpful and timeless observations and guidance.
