A GREAT guide for anyone wanting to get their finances under control. If you struggle with balancing your budget, having enough to live on each pay period, or paying off that horrible debt, this book is for you! Has some highlighting in the first few chapters and a couple written notes on the sides of a page.
An excellent primer on managing money God's way. Used in small group studies as introductory text. Very practical, very grounded, very helpful information for becoming debt free. Links to Crown Financial Ministries.
I enjoyed this book more than I thought I would. I didn't learn much since I have read multiple books on how to use money. However, this one had a fresh way to look at it through the use of stories. This book is written from a Christian perspective and so those who aren't Christian might find that annoying. I found the Bible verses very helpful; I put several of them on my list to be memorized. I particularly liked the chapter where he discussed the "all money is evil; give it all away and live on nothing" and the "prosperity gospel" extreme views and gave a more balanced approach. Now if I can only use this motivation to actually plan out a budget and stick to it!
