This book follows in Chuck Palahniuk's wonderful path of great writing. This is the tale of a young woman who is in a treatment facility for severe chemical burns on her face and upper body, caused when she was driving and acid was poured on her. This follows her treatment from when she wakes up in the hospital bed, to therapy sessions and the friends she makes there, to her eventual release and the life she leads afterwards. A very entertaining read, with a fantastic surprise ending that only Chuck Palahniuk could have designed. A wonderful read for fans of the dark and twisted side of life, and those who just enjoy reading about it.
