This book is organized in an unconventional manner. Instead of turning to the month and finding the things needed to be done as one is used to doing, you must look up the specific chapter for each type of plant, ie bulb, annuals, perennials etc., then find the month in that chapter. I find this a little annoying.

The book can be vague, especially for beginners. As an example, it states to plant annuals in spots left empty by perennials, which have died back. It advises to be careful not to damage the roots of the perennial, but not how to manage that.

I will continue to use this book as a reference and a reminder. It's best to assume one will need to combine it with books with more thorough explanations.
