This was the second book that I read by Stewart. Like the first, I found it rather slow in terms of action. However, it kept my interest and I did finish it within 2 days. I liked the main female character, enjoyed the descriptions of Crete, and, generally, thought it was a charming book. The only other thing that bothered me was the way in which the "male interest" in the book behaved. He seemed rather sexist to me. However, the positive thing was that Nicola (main female character) also noticed this, and called him out on it a few times. Which I thought was wonderful to see, especially given the date this book was published and the age of the author.

All in all, I'd read more by the author.
