  Morning After Coffee

I’m sitting cross-legged
Heels drawn beneath my naked
Thighs thinking
Graciously enough about
Nothing,
Simply the color of our
Drapes, butter lemon
Pulled loosely across
Dusty venation blinds.
Seven a.m.
Morning is official.
Gray blue winter light
Mingles with my drapes
Butter lemon,
and I wondered
Will my day be warm?

Nice and simple. I find myself doing that from time to time only my drapes are of a different color! LOL
