Mystery, action, fantasy and love, what more could you ask for... great characters, and Wilks delivers them. Lily Yu now an FBI agent and her mate Rule Turner are still trying to figure out the whole mate-bond thing when a crazy preacher with a magical staff from the under-world starts causing all kind of mayhem. This brings our heroes Lilly , Rule and co. to a very dangerous place where they encounter many new beasties and (my favorite) DRAGONS !!!! Lily and rule are separated and yet not separated, this is heartbreaking. They are helped by pack members and magical friends to save themselves from a force bigger than either is ready for.
Oh, I loved this book. It had the right amount of all my favorite elements for a good story and keep me up reading most of the night.

I have enjoyed reading the first two books in this series. Lily Yu is mated to Rule Hunter and not to impressed at first. By the end of this book, some very interesting new events occur which have captured my interest and I will be looking forward to reading book 3 as soon as I can get it.

Imagine being ripped in two with one half in "Hell" along with your mate and no memory and the other still on earth and still very much aware of where your mate is even though you cannot see him.

This is a great series, I've loved each one of them. The books do stand alone though, you do not have to have read the ones before.

The USA Today bestselling author returns to the fascinating world she introduced in Tempting Danger, where a woman's very soul is in mortal danger.

An agent in the FBI's Magical Crimes Division, Lily Yu's job is to hunt down a charismatic cult leader bent on bringing an ancient evil into the world. And her only hope will be to trust Rule Turner, a werewolf prince with whom she has mated. And if Lily can't trust him, she'll be lost forever.

Gives a whole new meaning to "going thru hell". Just when Lily catches up to Harlowe, she is split in two and one half of her soul is dragged to hell with Rule in wolf form. Rule cannot change back because Hell doesn't have a moon. But they survive with the help of the demon that dragged them there. And the half of Lily that was left behind has to convince everyone that Rule is not dead and that they need to save him. Takes a team effort to open a door to hell and go on a rescue mission. It's an interesting path in the series, we pick up a couple of new characters along the way. The focus moves away from the "mate bond" and into the character and series development. Each new character that is introduced is quirky and charming and i am looking forward to the rest of the series.

Kept my interest all the way through. Lily is an interesting character and she does a good job juggling the mate she didn't ask for with her police and FBI work. A good follow-up to the 1st one and I've got the 3rd one in my queue.

Was okay..liked the 1st one better. Think to much of this book was spent into the other realm with Lily and Rule. Liked Gan tho, glad he was introduced there. Am reading #3 now, and appears that series is picking up. All in all rated it 3 Star.

A really enjoyable "follow-up" book (though definitely could be read as a stand-alone-book) by the author of "Tempting Danger".

This is the 2nd book in the World of the Lupi series. There are 14 books in this series right now. This was a good continuation of this series. I continue to enjoy the story and the characters. I really enjoyed all the time we got to spend in Dis and the unique creatures we meet there. This is much more of a fantasy/urban fantasy than a PNR which is fine with me.

All the above being said by the end of the book my interest was starting to lag a bit. There was maybe just too much thrown at the reader at once. I am interested in how things play out with the dragons and did like their introduction into the story. However, I am not sure I am intrigued enough about it to continue this reading this already very long series.

Overall I enjoyed this book and would recommend to urban fantasy fans if you are looking for a decent UF read. However, I am already reading a lot of UF series and this one doesn't make it to my top five. As a result I probably won't continue with the series. I may come back to it someday if I run out of other urban fantasies to read; it's a decent series just not spectacular.

USA Today bestselling author Eileen Wils returns to the fascinating world she introduced in Tempting Danger, and takes readers to the very edge of passion and suspense- where deception and betrayal can not only place your life in jeopardy, but your very soul in mortal danger....

Former Homicide cop Lily Yu has a lot on her plate. There's her sister's wedding, a missing magical staff with unknown powers, and her grandmother's sudden decision to visit the old country just when Lily could use a little advice. Maybe she should turn to the man she is involved with, but for all the passion that flares between them, she doesn't really know Rule Turner. Yet she's tied to him for life, both of them caught in an unbreakable mate bond.

That Rule is a werewolf, a prince of his people, only complicates matters...
