A little bit hard to get into, but the longer you read, the more powerful it is.
A Mother who was sent by her parents to relatives in Chicago, Ill. to escape the Holocaust and her daughter return to the Motherland. They go back to the village where she was raised until she was 12 years old and revisit her classmates, a cemetary, her old house, etc.
The Mother and her daughter discover things about themselves that have never been revealed and there is also some closure for the Mother.
A great book!!!
