Enjoyed this one in the series that closes a case file from a few books back. Nice to see old friends and follow up on what they are doing. Emily incorporates the back stories of the characters in such a way that it doesn't get boring and keeps the story rolling. Helps if newbies are just getting acquainted with the story line. Hoping to see many more of Mrs. Jeffries in the future.

I've been hoping she would write this book. Nothing like solving a "cold case." It was entertaining, even though I figured out the identity of the murderer early on. Plus, Luty finally gets to fire her Colt 45.
