I've noticed a change to the Books Requested list today, when someone ordered several books from me. The books are listed together in one block, instead of having individual requests for each book. That's a nice feature, and would make things easy.
However, one of the books is not readily at hand. I'd like to ok the books I have at hand, and deal with the recalcitrant one later. However, I worry that if I only ok several books in the request that I'll lose the request for the recalcitrant book. Is my worry unfounded? |

Do you know where this other book is? Is there a way to get ahold of it within 3 or 4 days? If so, I would mark that you can mail them (ALL) later and get that book back and mail it all together. The whole point of a bulk order is to save you shipping (which I understand would be your choice to ship the other book later....) so if it were me, I would do my best to get that other book in with the package. Plus, the requestor is expecting all books in the same package...unless you PM them first. I'm sorry I can't answer your question....I can't remember how a bulk order looks on the Account page...if there are separate buttons or not. If there are, I would think you can click the ones you have and hold off on the one you don't. |

That's very interesting. I would like to see that page to see how it works exactly. I have read posts where someone has received a request for a book, gone to get it and lo and behold something is wrong with it and they need to cancel. So if you get multiple requests, but one of the books has gone lost, or your dog has gotten a hold of it, or many other things that you don't realize until you need the book to send it out, how do you decline one book but still say you can send the other's, as you've asked? |

On the request page, it lists several books, with a check box next to each. At the bottom is the standard "Yes I can mail", "No I can't", "Yes, but not right now" buttons. There is no days/time remaining information, so I don't know how much time is left.
If I choose a subset of the books in the request, and click "Yes, I can mail", I get a pop-up window that says, "You've only chosen 6 of 25 of the books requested. Are you sure?". This made me worry that I would lose the other requests. edit: Interesting. I had two multiple requests today. I mailed the other one. On the books mailed page, each book of the three-book request I mailed someone is listed individually, as it always has been. Why block only the requests in a confusing manner? Liese, way to go! I hadn't ever seen that particular screen of the HC! Brooke, if you choose the "Yes, but not right now" choice, you should be given a list of dates that you can mail by. Choose the latest one if needed to get that other book. Or deny that other book and send the remaining ones you hvae. LOL |

Alson, if you uncheck one of the books on the bulk shipment, it will not be included on the books to send and will be removed from your bookshelf. |
