What do you get when you combine some of my favorite things: The Academy Awards, the red carpet action before The Awards, and Joan Rivers? A really fun murder mystery with lots of celebrity name dropping. The ending seemed a bit rushed but because I laughed out loud many times throughout the book I'm willing to cut the authors some slack.
I'm happy to report that in the 'Acknowledgments' section Joan says this is only the first book in the 'Red Carpet Murder Mystery' series. So grab your favorite dress, get your hair and makeup done, and pass the champagne because I think Joan is taking us to the Emmy's in the next book!

I read this for a "mystery" theme in my online book club, The Reading Cove. Very disappointed in this book. The writing style is very poor, and makes Joan Rivers' usually on-point humor fall dreadfully flat. Too much name- and designer-dropping. And the mystery of who killed Halsey is just: who cares?
I can't recommend it.
