Down-low is an African-American slang term] that refers to a subculture of men who usually identify as heterosexual, but who have sex with men; some avoid sharing this information even if they have female sexual partner(s).

Four very successful friends, J.C., Vernetta, Nichelle and Special just lost a very close friend, Maya, to pneumonia. But it really wasn't. She died from AIDS that she contracted from her husband, Eugene.

Now, many successful married men are dying, and LA Attorney Vernetta Henderson, along with Special, is exacting revenge upon Eugene by charging him with wrongful death. But is that case related to the murders of the other men?

From the first page, you will be compelled to turn the page, as the author quickly draws you into the story. There are quite a few secondary characters that really don't make sense until the plot starts to move. And move it does! If you think this is one of those whodunnit's that you will figure out who the killer is within the first fifty pages, you are mistaken. I didn't figure it out until the author revealed it in such a stunning and realistic way, it just made sense. A top-notch legal thriller that will keep you on the edge-of-your-seat!
