Interesting read for Gretchen Sprague fans - I'm one. A 'cozy' mystery that is kind of scary.
Better than _Maquette for Murder_ by the same author. Our "sleuth" is a 74-yr old retired attorney whose neighbor is murdered. Most people in the building wanted him dead so there is no shortage os suspects.

I liked this alot.
Good solid British style murder mystery although the protagonist is a 70 something semi-retired widowed attorney living in New York City. The best thing about this book is that it does not require suspension of disbelief. No one is up for 48 hours straight and the killer has a very real and normal motive. Everyone is pretty sane and if it were a movie it would be rated PG. No gross descriptions of the murder and no bizarre sexuality.

This is a good, clean book. The main character is an female, retired lawyer.

Not my favorite cozy series so I'm passing this on here - purchased at my Library book sale for the purpose of swapping.
