This is at its heart, a classic closed-group mystery. A group of people are at an isolated resort where they are free to act out sensual pleasures and endulge their fantasies of dominantion and submission. One of their number is murdered and while it seemed that few of the guests had anything in common except for their fantasies, each has a motive. The crime brings a straight-arrow Arizona sheriff to the resport to find out about the killer... and about his own needs and desires.
