Julian Lucas offers a review of several paragraphs of this book ('New Books' p. 81) in Harper's Monthly, December 2019. He shares that Ms. Secrest offers no real information on the allegation that the CIA intervened when Olivetti was about to produce a desktop computer in 1960, lest the technology be shared with socialist nations. However, Mr. Lucas enjoyed the chapters of company history, especially Olivetti's design chops. It is not surprising that she shares that well with readers as it is 'in her wheelhouse' given her previous books.
