The story here is good as I always enjoy Jayne Ann Krentz under any of her pen names. However, in this one she spends way too many words in chatter that adds only words and nothing of substance to the story. For instance, how many times must the heroine remind the hero that he does not believe in the paranormal, and right in the middle of the investigation at that? It is distracting, to say the least. It isn't her best work and seems a bit rushed. For that, I'm only give her 3 stars this time.
