Well, it was an interesting first week.  Congrats to both of you on your team's wins. Except for Tennessee, Cindy.  The Patriots look like a lost cause this year. Hope I'm wrong.  Some interesting tidbits from Week 1:

  • The Cowboys have lost QB Dak Prescott for several weeks as he fractured the thumb on his throwing hand.  He will need surgery.
  • NE reported QB Mac Jones suffered a back injury in yesterday's game. No update today on how he is. Initial x-rays were negative, but he'll have more tests over the next couple days.
  • It is feared that Pittsburgh's TJ Watt may have suffered a torn pectoral muscle in his chest. And didn't it feel weird to not have Big Ben running around as QB? Let the Mitch Trubisky era begin.
  • Matt Ryan (no longer in Atlanta, but in Indy) became just the eighth player to throw for over 60,000 yards passing in NFL history.
  • It will be an interesting game tonight as Russell Wilson will return to Seattle as the QB for Denver.
  • First tied game happened between Indianapolis & Texas. Good news, we all get a win!
  • The burning question for the NFL this season is guessing how many times Tom Brady will retire, then return to the Bucs.  :)

Congratulations Cyn!  Sorry Joy. I almost feel responsible because I saw Joe Judge is one of your offensive coaches. He was awful for us, but I have to believe Bill Belichick will can him if he's stays bad.

So many older QBs now on new teams, it's gonna take a while to remember who actually plays where.  And I agree, it was weird watching Pittsburgh without Big Ben. I'm still not over Eli being gone.

No worries Joy. I'm a Bears fan first then Titans.

Sad to hear about Watt.

Sorry about the Patriots. It did feel weird not having Big Ben as QB and tonite having Wilson with the Broncos. And I'll take a win on a tied game lol

No comment on Brady.

I have a bet with a coworker on tonites game loser buys me a Zaxby's Cobb Zalad. Yum!
