Lots of eyebrow waggling. Story seems more like it's about Alex and Lady Kate, instead of Lady Grace and David. Two stories going on at once. You start getting interested in one story, the chapter ends, then you're in the other story. Alex and Lady Kate are in their 40's, and she becomes pregnant after thinking she was barren, oops! The book should be mainly about these two, not all four. I didn't get to know much about Lady Grace and David. It was like they got shoved to the background. I missed the usual background characters in this book, like Tynweith and his "unique" shrubs!
The Naked Gentleman, The Naked Earl, and The Naked Marquis are much better reads. This one was just okay.

Not a bad read. The story was cute(and was laugh out loud funny in a few parts), though the summary is a bit misleading as the secondary characters (the h's aunt and the H's uncle) did seem to take over the story quite a few times. Added to that, there were some frustrating moments with the H and h, when I'd have liked nothing more then to kick them both (though more her than him) On the positive side the Hero is not a man-slut. He's experienced but not overly so. As that's so rare in regencies now-a-days, that was a nice surprise.
Back to the negatives though, as the point of view kept changing when you least wanted it to, and most of the sex scenes were not b/w the so-called main characters. And the ending was a bit abrupt, a bit more of an actual conclusion to the story would have been nice... I'd have loved an epilogue at least!
On a side note, if you're familiar with Ms MacKenzie's Naked series, then this takes place during the same time as The Naked Duke, so we hear (indirectly) about the Hero and heroine from that book as well.
Over all, a decent, quick read though, in my opinion at least, not worth a whole credit or a place on the keeper shelf.

Hmmmmmmmm....sooo WHYYY did this book come AFTER "The Naked Gentlemen" ... ??? Hmmmm.... sooo weird...
Well, anyyyhow, I was a little disappointed in this book... maybe it's because I just couldn't get over the "the AFTER the fact factor" ... it just threw me for a loop. Pls. don't get me wrong the book is ok, (ya, sadly, just ok) the characters are actually likable, the dual plot has you rooting for both of the couples presented in this story... minimal erotic love scenes, no plot twists, overall, it was just ooook...

This was a quick and enjoyable read by Sally Mackenzie. I only wish that the story had more of the main characters Grace and Baron Dawson and less of Kate and Alex. I feel like the story was really more about Alex and Kate's rekindled relationship.

This was a fun read. It had a great story, some humor, suspense, and romance of course. I enjoyed the characters and how the other books in the series were mentioned but didn't take over. A good read book.
I feel I must add my two cents worth to the rest of what's been said about this book. I was glad to see I wasn't alone in my thoughts and feelings about this book
I've read all of the books in the series so far and while this one was a good read, I was disappointed that the secondary characters 'took over' the story and the hero/heroine where pushed to the back ground. I thought even the notorious Miss Smythe, Viscount Motton's crazy aunt, got more page time then our H/H. The series is all centered around the same time period and some of the action in each book takes place at Lord Motton's house party. And from the sounds of it, Lord Dawson, the hero in TNB, was the driving force behind getting Motton to hold the party in the first place. I think the title of 'The Naked Baron' was a misnomer. Miss MacKenzie could have titled this book 'The Naked Uncle' and then save the story of Lady Grace and Lord Dawson for a novella since the page time they got was so minuscule in comparison.
On my personal rating scale of 1-4 stars, I gave this book 2.5 stars. I didn't really like it all that much, but I didn't really NOT like it either. I'm on the read 'The Naked Viscount' now.

This is my first Sally MacKenzie book and it isn't bad. Like all the reviews just know that Grace and Dawson are kind of secondary characters. Alex and Kate (the older couple) are really the focus. I don't mind they were a bit more interesting than Grace and Dawson.
The thing that bothered me was how slow it moves because you have to read the same scenes but from a different point of view. It gets a little tiresome after a while and the end is really abrupt. I also don't get the whole "naked" thing in the title.
I am curious about the other books though so I will search her out in the libraries. Not sure if it's worth the credit or real money.
