I tried to get into this book, but the beginning was too slow for me. I actually started it on two separate occassions before I finally gave up for the third time over the duration of the several months I had this book.

This was an intense medical thriller with lots of twists and turns. Just when I thought I knew what caused the problems, Palmer deftly took the story in a new direction.

I don't normally read this type of book, but I decided to read this book because I read some reviews at Amazon and the book seemed interesting. I wasn't disappointed. The book held my interest all the way through which doesn't happen very often.

I liked the aspects of natural medicine in the book since it is an interest of mine. I didn't enjoy the ending as much as the rest of the book, but overall, I was pleased. This book definitely keeps you wanting to come back.
