I think that I am too old for this book. I had no idea who the author is when I started reading it; I was interested in the cover photo and the title. Apparently she is an influencer on Instagram, and there was a scandal involving an accident with one of her dogs and a GoFundMe for his vet bills that resulted in her divorce and some pretty nasty online harrassment. She moves to the Utah dessert and this memoir is about her recovery from the depression and suicidal tendancies brought on by the scandal.
She writes well and I can see the appeal of this book to people who have fantasized about living a vagabound life. I just can't relate to the premise of what she refers to as her career: opening up one's life so fully to the public when some people are mean and unhinged in exchange for money and goods just seems like inviting problems and something I have a hard time relating to.
