I have a lot of credits that I need to spend and I need a new author.  Just to give an idea, I love historical romance and romantic suspense.

I particularly love a series such as Julia Quinn's Bridgerton Series or Suzanne Brockmann's Troubleshooter Series.

I have read all of Linda Howard, Suzanne Brockmann, Nora Roberts, Lisa Kleypas, Georgette Heyer, Susan Elizabeth Phillips, Lisa Kleypas, Stephanie Laurens, Jennifer Crusie, Julia Quinn, Diana Gabaldon, Loretta Chase and Victoria Holt.

From all of that info, can somebody recommend a great new author for me to try? :-)

I'm going crazy reading all of the reviews trying to figure out who I might like.

Any suggestions would be great!

Thanks and if anyone is interested, I have the whole Bridgerton Series available to send to someone, not yet posted.

I haven't read either author, but I do have one Galen Foley book which happens to be the last book in a series.  I was considering ordering the rest of the series, but didn't know anything about the author.

The name of the book that I have is Devil Takes a Bride.  Would you recommend this series?

I will check out Liz Carlyle as well, she is new to me.

absolutely recommend the knight miscellany series.  the first is the duke, then lord of fire (my favorite)  all are good.  One Night of Sin is also very steamy.

For Carlyle, The devil series is good, also one little sin, 2 little lies, 3 little secrets & beauty like the night.

I would highly recommend Brenda Joyce.  I particularly love her Deadly series which is romance and mystery. If you start the Deadly series, you need to begin at book 1. You will love Francesca. Other Brenda Joyce novels are great too. I think I may have some on my bookshelf. Otherwise, I will be putting some up soon.

I have some other great romances on my shelf including series. Let me know if you have any questions.

The Brenda Joyce Deadly series sounds exactly like something I will love. I saw that you had a couple on your bookshelf and wouldn't mind ordering them. Do you have any more from that series? Also, what are your thoughts on Sabrina Jeffries? I saw The School of Heiresses Series on your bookshelf as well.

Unfortunately, my Deadly books are the latest books. I think there are 5 or 6 earlier books. I love all the Sabrina Jeffries books. They are just historical romance though no mystery.

I am finishing up my last papers for my last grad class tonight. Tomorrow, I will find the list of the Deadly books and give yo more info on the Sabrina Jeffries books. Sorry. My brain is a mess. :-)

P.S. Did I mention Deadly Gamble by Linda Lael Miller? That was a great mystery romance but it is modern romance. I don't usually read modern romances but this was incredible. It is on my list but under a wishlist hold. I think the hold comes off shortly.

I love Victoria Alexander. I have a bunch of her books on my shelf too. I loved the Effingtons. I think I have read everything out there by Victoria Alexander.

Thanks for the tip about Elizabeth Lowell. I have read some of hers in the past but I thought they were just romance novels.

I love Eloisa James too. Have you all read Samantha James? I feel into her when I was searching for Eloisa James.

I also would reconmend Liz Carlye, KImberly. I have recently read her for the first time and I must confess that I have read everything by her that I have been able to get my hands on. I love her! I have added her to my list of favorite authors. Let me know if you choose to read her, I'll reconmened which titles to start with. I would also reconmend Lisa Kelypas. I have read anything by her that I could get my hand on too!

So many books to read now :-), thanks for all of the suggestions.  I am giving several authors a try.  I love Lisa Kleypas, I have read all of her books so far.

I did read a few of the Mary Balogh series, but I read them out of order and now I don't remember which ones I did read.  I hate when that happens, so I gave up on that series.  I might consider reading them again.

Thanks for the Victoria Alexander suggestion, I will try her as well.

Have you tried Loretta Chase, Sherrilyn Kenyon, Lynsay Sands and Karen Marie Moning? They are always good reads.

I haven't read any of those. Are they historical romances? Is there a good book to start with?

For contemporaries, have you read any Lori Foster or Carly Phillips?  Some of their books are pretty fun and entertaining.
