Then all the flow'ring apple-trees Are show'ring blossoms on the breeze; There's cheerful sound of many voices, For the whole world in warmth rejoices. Lily-pads float upon the lake, And all the birds are wide awake; The air is filled with breath of roses, And every stalk a bud discloses. Through all the fields you're sure to meet With golden blossoms at your feet; As if the earth received bright showers, And turned the rain-drops into flowers.
